Acrow Participates in the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering’s 12th International Conference on Short and Medium Span Bridges
Presentations explored the benefits of versatile modular steel bridging for numerous permanent and temporary applications
(Toronto, Ontario) – 12 August 2026 – Acrow, a leading international bridge design and engineering firm, recently sponsored and presented at the 12th International Conference on Short and Medium Span Bridges (SMSB), which took place August 4–7, 2026 in Vancouver, B.C. Held every four years, SMSB is one of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering’s premier events, bringing together engineers, researchers and industry leaders, to share knowledge, foster collaboration and advance bridge engineering.
On August 5, Oliver Radack, Director of Business Development & Operations, Acrow Canada, delivered a presentation titled “The Versatility of Modular Steel Bridging solutions in Multimodal and Dual-Use Applications.” Betul Oliver, Business Development Manager for Eastern Canada, spoke the following day during a presentation titled “Accelerated Bridge Construction – Exploring the Benefits of Modular Prefabrication for Efficient, Resilient, and Adaptable Infrastructure.” Both presentations showcased a broad range of recent Acrow projects across permanent, temporary and emergency applications to illustrate how innovative modular steel bridging solutions can deliver durable, climate-resilient infrastructure more quickly, safely, and efficiently than traditional construction methods.
