Acrow’s solution was easily assembled and installed at remote Scottish Borders site
As part of a forestry project in the settlement of Tushielaw, west of Hawick, Scotland, a new crossing was needed from the B711 over Rankle Burn to provide access for personnel, heavy machinery and lumber. Owing to the long and successful track record of modular steel bridging in forestry operations, a cost-effective, rapidly installed Mabey Compact 200® (C200®) bridge from Acrow was selected.
Purchased by Euroforest the five-bay structure has a length of 15.25 metres and a width of 4.2 metres with a Durbar deck surface. Designed to HA Loadings as per BS5400-2:2006, the bridge was lifted into place with a 100t crane.
